Reminiscing the CLOY Adventure +CITY OF LIGHTS AND LOVE, PARIS
As Christians, we reach out to God in praise and in gratitude as well as to seek refuge in pain and turmoil. 2020 has truly been a tough year for all. But now more than ever, we need God’s voice to help us navigate our way in the midst of great uncertainties.
DAY 1 - DEPARTURE MANILA, PHILIPPINES
-
Check-in airline, enjoy inflight amenities and meals on-board
ARRIVE IN ZURICH (D)

-
Arrival at Zurich international airport. meet and assist with your tour director then transfer to the hotel for check-in, dinner, and overnight
DAY 2 - ZURICH - INTERLAKEN (B/L/D)
-
After breakfast, check out then head out early to start your adventure into this beautiful country!
-
Start with a visit to Munsterbrucke, a pedestrian and road bridge opened in the early 1800s that connects the Fraumunster cathedral and the Grossmunster cathedral, located at two opposite ends of the river. while you explore this bridge and maybe re-enact the scenes, be sure to stop by the old town (Altstadt), Zurich's district 1, for an introduction to Zurich's architecture and culture before you continue onto the final filming destination of a crash landing on you in all of Switzerland!
-
You may have seen the Munsterbrucke in passing when a number of iconic swiss attractions were featured during the episode where SEO dan visits RI Jeong Hyeok for the first time. yoon se ri also stands idly on this bridge in the first teaser of the series.
-
Last but not least, we see lindenhof in one of yoon se-ri's failed attempts to find ri jeong hyeok in switzerland and mistakes a pianist for him. a leafy tree- lined park in Zurich serving as an oasis in the heart of the city, this is the perfect place to switch off, wind down and bask in the views of the old town and distant mountains.
-
See more highlights of the city and enjoy your free time.
-
Proceed to interlaken then check-in, dinner, and overnight.
DAY 3 - INTERLAKEN (B/L/D)
-
Breakfast at the hotel. today, we will discover Interlaken starting with a visit to cloy filming sites.
-
in the final episode of the drama, yoon se-ri attends a piano recital at a grand-looking hotel that almost resembles a castle. victoria Jungfrau grand hotel and spa was used as the filming location for that scene.
-
Visit the place where the protagonists of a crash landing on you are brought together annually in the show!
-
Visit a karst cave system with a long walkway where you'll walk past strange concretions, dark chasms, and underground waterfalls, this place has a legend that a 6th-century irish monk named Beatus ousted a dragon before residing here.
-
You can easily ascend Interlaken's own mountain of harder Kulm in a matter of minutes. board the funicular that'll bring you to an altitude of 1322m above sea level at the upper station and this is where the journey matters just as much as the destination!
-
Continue your adventure at one of the highest railway lines in Switzerland, the schynige platte railway. this railway takes you to a place where the town of Interlaken will seem tiny, you can see mountains 4000m away and a lovely alpine garden with 650 flowering plants reside.
-
After a long day of adventure, head back to your accommodation for a good night's rest!
DAY 4 - EXPLORE THE FILMING SITES IN AND AROUND INTERLAKEN (B/L/D)
-
Begin your day with the iconic location where Ri Jeong Hyeok's beautiful yet haunting piano scene was shot, Lake Brienz! Located in front of a private residence on Harbor Iseltwald, take a trip down to the wooden boardwalk.
-
You can take a cruise on this peaceful lake just like Se-ri did instead of simply wandering around the village. Steamboats have been chugging across this lake since the 1800s and there's a small armada of 5 vessels from the 20th century if you're interested to set off to Giessbach to see the plunging Giessbach Waterfall!
-
Next, this hotel was the fictional music school that Ri Jeong Hyeok attended before his military days and where Seo Si Dan visits Ri Jeong Hyeok for the first time since their engagement, but Grandhotel Giessbach has more fun facts than just that. It is served by a funicular dating all the way back to the 1880s as it used to be a historic house from 1874.
-
Your next destination, the Sigriswil Panorama Bridge is not an attraction for the faint-hearted. Suspended above Lake Thun and 180m above Gummi Gorge, this place is the location of the unforgettable scene where Ri Jeong Hyeok and Yoon Se Ri had their first encounter.
-
Head down to the backbone or the core of Interlaken in Hoheweg, a street, and promenade that captures the heart of the people living in this small city. The left side has been kept free from construction, allowing it to retain a perfect balance of modern civilization amidst purely natural surroundings.
-
Head back to your accommodation for rest, or take a night stroll in this picturesque city to see it in a different light, quite literally!
DAY 5 - HEAD OVER TO GRINDELWALD - ENGELBERG - LUCERNE (B/L/D)
-
If you picture a dreamy mountain resort with peaks covered by fluffy clouds, the chances are that Grindelwald looks almost like what you've imagined. Your first destination here is also named the First, featuring a cliff walk up in the minor summit on Schwarzhon and the First Flieger (Flyer).
-
Ri Jeong Hyeok and Yoon Se Ri's tearful reunion was backed by the breathtaking landscapes of the Grindelwald mountains, and it looks nothing less than the way the drama portrayed it.
-
It is also here where you will find the ethereal lake of Bachalpsee. At an altitude of 2,265 meters, the clear reflective waters mirror the spectacular surrounding scenery, framed by its grassy banks and a mountain backdrop. A passageway at an elevation of over 2000 meters above sea level called Kleine Scheidegg was where the two protagonists of the drama watched paragliders fly among the clouds, years before Yoon Se-ri crash-landed in North Korea.
-
Lake Lungern in Obwalden was where we saw one of the final scenes in the series when our hero and heroine were shown together at last in their home in Switzerland.
-
Make your way to the Titlis Cliff Walk next, Europe's highest suspension bridge mixing thrill and breathtaking scenery together. It's more than 3000 meters above sea level and 500 meters off the ground. Take around 150 heart-pounding steps on this cliff walk and be rewarded with a completely new perspective of the summits, and a new set of nerves as strong as steel cables on this bridge. The path to this cliff walk also leads you through a glacier cave in an underground tunnel and stretches towards the Ice Flyer glacier chairlift station, which you can take to bring you back to the ground if your legs become jelly-like after the whole experience.
-
Engelberg Abbey is a benedictine monastery that has influenced the history of the mountain town of Obwalden all the way back from 1120.
-
After an insightful visit to Engelberg Abbey, it's time for more fun on the tin toboggan ride on the Brunni. Similar to how a slide works, this experience is even more special as it lies on the side of the mountain! When you're done, head to your accommodation in Lucerne for a good night's rest!
DAY 6 - SPEND A DAY IN LUCERNE (B/L/D)
-
More than being the most visited museum in all of Switzerland, the Swiss Museum of Transport is more than just a collection and exhibition of vehicles, it's more of a self- contained world of transport and information you'll never find displayed elsewhere.
-
Visit the garden of frozen time and the elemental geological power that shaped this place, and learn about the potholes that bear witness to the last ice age and to the fact that Lucerne was once covered entirely by glaciers.
-
Make your way to the Hofkirche next, Lucerne's medieval Romanesque Basilica was burnt down during the Thirty Years War in the 17th century, so while the war was ongoing in the 1630s, the city's' inhabitants then built a church in the Northern region of the Alps.
-
It's not a visit to Lucerne without a trip down to the Old town and Chapel Bridge. Potter around the Old Town holding the historic core of Lucerne, and find yourself drawn to the European style buildings of muted colours and brick roofs, or the sequence of squares linked by cobblestone pedestrians.
-
The final stop for the day lies at the chapel bridge in the old town. Running diagonally for 200m, this is the world's oldest surviving truss bridge and an emblem representing Lucerne.
DAY 7 - LUCERNE - TROYES (B/L/D)
-
Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Departure for Troyes which is a town in the Grand Est region of north-eastern France. Its medieval old town features narrow, cobbled streets lined with colorful, half-timbered houses, mostly dating from the 16th century. The town is home to several Gothic churches with striking stained-glass windows. These include the Troyes Cathedral, the Église Sainte- Madeleine, and the Basilique Saint-Urbain.
-
Lunch will be in a local restaurant
